Creating your dream garden is not only an investment in your home, but also well-being. Designing a space around you, to enjoy for years to come.

Jake, Rachel and Charlie have done a fabulous job of transforming our paved back garden into a beautiful area that we now want to relax in. They listened from the very beginning to our needs and then Jake drew up the design, which gave me insight into what the finished product might look like. But it looks so much better than I even hoped for. Thank you Jake, Rachel and Charlie. Yes I would definitely recommend Bespoke Garden Designs.

Japanese Zen Garden, Four Oaks

We were approached by our client to help her turn her unappealing paved back garden in Sutton Coldfield into a relaxing space to enjoy, and to look out at. The brief was fairly simple, to create a Zen themed garden, which would be a low maintenance and relaxing space to enjoy.

Even in this small space, this project covered all bases. Multiple planters, a small patio, stepping stones, standing slates to add some height and interest, a variety of ornamentation dotted amongst various trees and shrubs.

A decking 'bridge' crosses over the pebble stream to the brightly themed pergola; this is a main focal point, but also acts to hide the shed alongside the bamboo.

As well as this it helps to create the feeling of multiple areas through the garden, as though you are going on a journey and entering the patio area through another entrance (to resemble a Japanese temple/tea room), helping keep interest in this smaller of spaces.

Modern Garden Transformation with Porcelain Patio, Sutton Coldfield

A fantastic project completed in 2021 which involved a whole garden transformation. Taking an old patio and extending this area out to optimise the usable space, as well as introducing low maintenance borders, planting, and a new shed.

Our clients had recently moved into this property and were looking to give the garden a much needed re-vamp. Being quite a young family, with a dog, they were looking for a space to enjoy and entertain which was pet friendly and which wasn't too maintenance heavy.

We worked with them on a design, and fine tuned our initial plans based on their feedback, providing them with samples of materials to get the desired finish and to achieve a very contemporary, bright space which would compliment the kitchen and dining area to the rear of the property.

Our clients were away on the final few days of the garden build. You can read their feedback below.

Garden Landscaping Design & Build FAQs

01.

How much does landscaping cost?

Landscaping your garden can cost anything ranging from under £3,000 to many tens of thousands. It depends entirely on what you are after and the size of the project.

03.

What is included in landscaping?

We can include as much or as little as you need, this could be just a patio or pathway, right up to having your garden totally transformed with new lawns, paving and planting. We will always outline what is included on our quote, to ensure you can get the most from your project and to guarantee you are getting exactly what you are looking for.

05.

Can landscaping increase the value of a home?

Yes absolutely, a landscaped garden can increase the value of your property.

07.

What’s the difference between a gardener and a landscaper?

Generally a gardener will take care of the general maintenance side of your garden, such as trimming hedges and cutting the lawns, whereas a landscaper typically works on the layout and constriction side of the garden.

09.

What if we don’t have side access?

In the past, we have either gone through the property, applying a lot of protection to the floors and walls, or another alternative is using your neighbour’s access.

11.

What areas do you cover?

We are based in Sutton Coldfield and operate within this area most of the time, however we also cover most of the West Midlands depending on the project, including Lichfield and Tamworth.

13.

Are you fully insured?

Yes, we are fully insured.

02.

When does landscaping season start?

The landscaping season runs all year round, with our main season beginning around the end of Feb and continuing all through until the Autumn.

04.

What are the different types of landscaping?

There are several types of landscaping, these can be different types of paving, whether its Porcelain, Sandstone, Limestone, or Granite, but aside from that we also have the soft landscaping element which includes planting.

06.

What is the difference between hard and soft landscaping?

Hard landscaping relates to all the hard surfaces and materials in a garden (patios & decks etc.), and soft landscaping relates to anything soft, i.e., flowers and plants.

08.

Will you need access to my house?

No, not at all. As long as we can have access to an external power supply and a water source we are able to carry out most works.

10.

Do you work all year round / is there any time of the year you cannot carry work out?

We do work all year round yes, however during the colder winter months we have to be cautious with certain parts of a project, such as using cement/concrete as we can only do this when temperatures are over 5 degrees.

12.

Do I have to pay for a consultation?

We offer all of our consultations free of charge. This includes a quote, and drawing (if required). For more advanced, and higher budget projects where a 3D CAD design, and detailed planting plan is needed we do charge for this but this is always discussed once we have developed an initial quote.

14.

Do you manage everything during the project?

We manage everything. Labour, skips, design, materials, deliveries, and sub-contractors & specialist trades as and when required. Leaving you to sit back and enjoy watching your ideas come to life!
