Garden Room or Office
Demand for garden rooms and home offices have increased over the last few years due to more and more of us working from home.
This trend looks set to continue with people seeing the benefits and flexibility of remote working.
A garden room doesn't just have to be an office though. It can just be an outdoor space to be enjoyed, away from the home.
Insulated Garden Room
Every garden room we build is fully bespoke; from the small garden pod, up to large garden rooms, made to meet our client's needs and budget. Built using treated CLS framing, with several options for doors and windows as well as interior fit out, including insulation and plastering if required.
"An excellent service and we are really pleased with our summerhouse. Jake worked with us to develop a plan and we felt very listened to. We would wholly recommend Bespoke Garden Designs."
Bespoke Garden Rooms & Garden Office FAQs
How much does a bespoke garden room cost?
As all of our garden rooms are fully bespoke we don't have a set price, so please get in touch to discuss your project and we will give you a quote!
What wood is best for a garden room or office?
A treated softwood frame is often best, which can then be clad in any timber or material to suit the rest of the garden.
Can I put a garden room on decking?
Yes absolutely, we can build a summerhouse or garden room onto a deck.
Will you need access to my house?
No, not at all. We only need access to a tap, and a power supply.
Do you work all year round / is there any time of the year you cannot carry work out?
We do work all year round yes, however during the colder winter months we have to be cautious with certain parts of a project, such as using cement/concrete as we can only do this when temperatures are over 5 degrees.
Do I have to pay for a consultation?
We offer all of our consultations free of charge. This includes a quote, and drawing (if required). For more advanced, and higher budget projects where a 3D CAD design, and detailed planting plan is needed we do charge for this but this is always discussed once we have developed an initial quote.
Do you manage everything during the project?
We manage everything. Labour, skips, design, materials, deliveries, and sub-contractors & specialist trades as and when required. Leaving you to sit back and enjoy watching your ideas come to life!
How long does building a garden room take to complete?
Again, this does depend on the size and finish of the project, but typically between 3-10 days is the average time it takes us to complete a summerhouse build.
Do I need planning permission for a garden room or office?
Most summerhouses and garden rooms do not require planning permission because they come under the heading of what's called “permitted development”
Does a garden office add value to a home?
Estate agents and lenders estimate that the extra space provided by a garden office can add between 5 to 10% to the value of your home.
What if we don’t have side access?
In the past, we have either gone through the property, applying a lot of protection to the floors and walls, or another alternative is using your neighbour’s access.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Sutton Coldfield and operate within this area most of the time, however we also cover most of the West Midlands depending on the project, including Lichfield and Tamworth.
Are you fully insured?
Yes, we are fully insured.
